FAQs

Good to Know

Do I need to book in advance?

We ask for at least 24 hours notice — book through our WhatsApp booking line on 07398 394287. Walk-ins are always welcome subject to availability.

How long does a session last?

Sessions are 90 minutes at your table. Our full daily menu and cake counter are available to enjoy throughout your session.

When can I collect my finished piece?

We glaze and fire your item after your session. It will be ready to collect in 14 days — busy periods may take slightly longer. Please collect as close to your collection date as possible as we have very limited storage space. After 8 weeks, unclaimed pottery will be removed from our shelves.

What happens if my piece is damaged in the kiln?

Very occasionally items can suffer minor defects or cracks in the kiln. We handle all pottery with the utmost care, but should your item not make it through, we'd happily invite you back to paint another piece.

Any tips before I start painting?

Shake paint pots before use (lid closed first!). You can sketch your design using the felt tips provided — they burn off during firing. Colours become much brighter after firing, so refer to the colour sampler. Rinse your brush between colours and blot with the paper towel. Don't paint the rim on the underside of your item — this is where it sits in the kiln.

Is it suitable for all ages?

Absolutely — pottery painting is for everyone. We welcome adults, couples, groups, families and children alike. No experience needed at all — just get creative and have fun!
