Select your ‘bisque’ to paint. Items start from £12 up to around £30 for larger/more complex items.
You have 90 minutes at your table.
When finished, we’ll take your item and give you a ticket. (We advise taking a pic of your ticket on your phone, just in case you lose it.)
We’ll glaze and fire your item ready for collection in 14 days. (Busy periods may take slightly longer.)
NOTES & TIPS
Before you start painting check your bisque for any cracks, damage or imperfections. Let us know so we can replace the item for you.
Shake paint pots before use, checking the lid is closed first!
You can draw out your design first using the felt tips.
They will burn off during firing so they won’t be seen on your finished piece.
The colour of the paints will become much brighter after firing. Refer to the colour sampler to see how they look after firing.
Rinse your brush between colours and dry with the kitchen towel before selecting you next colour.
If you are layering colours on top of one another be aware these colours may merge after firing.
Don’t paint the rim on the underside of your item as this is where it will stand in the kiln.
Very occasionally some items can suffer from minor defects or cracks when going through a very hot kiln.
We handle all your pottery with the utmost care and attention, but should your item not make it we would happily invite you back to paint another item.
If you’re eating whilst painting, be sure to wipe your hands of food or grease to avoid marking your bisque.
